Lamberto Govi founds and establishes GOVI GmbH
in Bonn, Germany.
JULY 2002
Start-up, nationwide distribution of control cabinet air conditioners imported from Italy.
FEBRUARY 2003
A second product is added: Shaded-pole motors for refrigerated counters, display cases and heat pumps. Distribution in Germany, export to parts of Switzerland and France.

FEBRUARY 2004
Two other products are added: Refrigeration units for trailers and containers, distribution in Germany.
MARCH 2006
Design of the first in-house refrigeration unit for refrigerated trailers in cooperation with an Italian company.

JANUARY 2008
Expanding business to other European countries.
OCTOBER 2009
Relocation to a larger warehouse, office and business premises in Niederkassel in the Rhein-Sieg district, Germany.
JANUARY 2010
GOVI starts producing its own trailer refrigeration units in Germany.

JUNE 2010
The South African market is developed.
NOVEMBER 2010
Registration of the trademark “GOVI”.

Development of a trailer refrigeration unit for the North American market.

Expansion by establishing a sales office in Miami, USA.
JANUARY 2012
Start of distribution of GOVI refrigeration units in the North American market.
FEBRUARY 2013
Development of a new refrigeration unit specifically designed for the extreme climatic conditions of Australia, entering the Australian market.

MARCH 2014
Introducing a new unit arktik 2000US, specially developed for the North American market.
NOVEMBER 2015
Relocation to a new and modern establishment in Troisdorf, Germany.

FEBRUARY 2016
Launch of GOVI container refrigeration units.
SEPTEMBER 2016
Transport Refrigeration Services, GOVI authorized dealer in Australia, opens a new branch in Melbourne.

MARCH 2017
The South American market for trailers is opened up. A new model for South America expands the product range.
NOVEMBER 2017
Establishment of a subsidiary, GOVI Inc., distributing GOVI products in North America. The company is based in Daytona Beach, Florida (USA).
SEPTEMBER 2018
Extension of a new, modern warehouse in Troisdorf, Germany.

Space for further innovation: The construction of Hall 3 marked the expansion of our production capacities – dedicated to the creation of our innovative Polarik line.
